Our purpose project, which focuses around the power positive words have on people, is all about compliments. After presenting our idea pitch to the class we determined, that some things needed to be tweaked. The type of compliments we were giving people, was an important factor noted by our classmates. Our classmates suggested we use more compliments that were based off of personality rather than just physical features. We had discussed this prior to our pitch and had thought that our goal was based more around physical self esteem issues rather than the personality, as our interviews were going to be based on people who were complete strangers to us and we did not know. Although this critique helped us develop the overall goal of our project because we decided afterward this is a very interesting idea to take into account while we run our experiment. It changed our focus from more physical positivity to overall positivity, giving compliments to people for both features. I think this is important to remeber that being confident about yourself, shouldn't just be based off of what you look like or what you where, but rather how you act and how you speak.
